I can see my Grandfather talking, yet, his voice is lost to me. I know it was that soft 
gentle Scottish brogue of the black and white Pathé newsreels, that much my mother 
has told me. He told me about his father and life on the islands and those who left and 
never came home. I was young and didn’t have time to listen to him and rushed on, 
now when I wish we could talk, he is long separated from me by time.
