How often does Canvas bring new artwork into stock?
We receive new work in weekly, so our walls are constantly changing. Everything is available to view online in our Artists page.
If you have seen something in the past you liked but can't find it online or in our gallery anymore, please just get in touch as it might be available or if not, we can show you similar work from the same artist.
Do you offer payment plans or credit terms?
Making art affordable is really important to us. You can split payments of artwork over 4 months to ease the cost of purchasing an original painting. This only applies to artwork over £1000 in value. Canvas retain ownership of the artwork until paid for in full.
I am an artist. How do I go about getting my artwork represented by Canvas Galleries?
We love hearing from artists and see what new artists have to offer. We are trusted to bring our customers the best in local talent, so if you feel your work is a perfect fit for us, then please get in touch via email to email@example.com with samples of your work, a bio on yourself and your practice.
We will be in touch regarding our interest in your work.
Do you offer private viewings?
We do! To arrange an out of hours viewing of the gallery, simply call or email us to arrange.
I have a business/home that needs several pieces, can you advise me?
If you have a new office or home and need advice on artwork to suit, we can offer our consulting services. This will include a site visit to the premises for us to build a portfolio of work to share with you.
Please get in touch for further details.
Do you supply a framing service?
We make every frame by hand in our framing studio located in the back of Canvas Galleries. Alan, our amazing bespoke frame maker has over a decade of experience behind him so you can trust us to bring all those years of experience and knowledge to each and every frame we complete.
Besides framing the usual original artworks, prints and posters we also offer our framing services for the more unusual pieces such as fossils, sports shirts, shoes, golf clubs and so much more!
For more ornate or delicate pieces we offer a selection of glass types with UV protection – please ask a member of staff about this on your next visit.
Our framing services are open to public and commercial jobs - just ask!
Do you have a price list I can view?
We take pride in hand making all our bespoke frames on site, as each frame is made for each individual pieces we cannot offer a set price list. We can however give you a no obligation quote for any piece you may have, simply call in with the piece and we can talk you through options. For artwork, all stock is priced online and in store.
I am a local artist, do you offer any discount?
We know it can be tempting to just use cheap, store bought frames but they just wont do your work justice, not just visually but they just wont last and may even cause damage to the piece should it break.
If you are an artist with more than 5 original pieces of your own work, whether for exhibition or otherwise, we offer artist discount rates. We can advise on how best to frame each individual piece safely and beautifully.
How long does framing usually take?
Our usual turnaround is a week, however for more intricate pieces we ask that you give us at least up to 10 days to complete.
We always try to accommodate everyone’s needs so let us know about any specifications regarding collection dates.
