'The painting's perspective is not accurate but this is deliberate. I guess the exaggerated proportions of the Cavehill represents its importance me. I grew up right under the Cavehill and have always had a particular affinity for it.  

When visiting the Skainos Centre I got the idea of the rooftops of East Belfast looking out towards the Cavehill.'
