They are multi layered featuring textured passages of pigment carefully balancing light and dark tones. Key colours include wedgewood blue, paynes grey, olive green, naples yellow and aubergine.. The paintings are abstracted and inspired by wild heather, heathland and gorse bushes found on the Mourne Mountains.
