‘I was playing this song as I was painting, and I was really loving the surface that was appearing, also the little triangles and circles, I didn’t really know what they were, but afterwards, everything was reminding of my drives to Donegal , the little white houses along the coast, the gorse, the grey clouds and mists, the rocks; the painting had a sweetness and innocence to it that I associate with Donegal, but also with all the songs and stories, the mystical is embedded in there too.'
