I wonder what the thought of home means to you, I lived as a child in a place in Ireland which even today is remote, then, it was another world isolated by the boundary commission by the birth of the state, more connected to the time before than to this time after, Irish was still spoken and sung in the those fields with their ancient names, to ease the burden of hard, physical, merciless work, the troubles were yet to happen. I still call that place home, yet, I will never sleep there again or maybe even walk there again, I am an exile, and immigrant. When my mind drifts east along that valley the heat of the sun and those voices floats in and out up and down, as I walk through my thoughts.
Do I wish I was back home, perhaps that is a question more about our life rather than time.
