Colour drenching is one of our most popular bespoke framing styles, offering a bold, contemporary way to give artwork maximum visual impact. This technique involves painting the entire frame — including the frame face and backing — in a single, carefully selected colour.

By treating the frame as one continuous surface, colour drenching can either introduce a confident contrast or subtly amplify tones already present within the artwork. The result is a considered, modern frame that enhances the piece without overpowering it.

Each colour-drenched frame is custom made in our Belfast studio. Colours are chosen in consultation, taking into account the artwork, surrounding interior, and overall aesthetic. This framing style is particularly well suited to contemporary artworks, exhibitions, and statement pieces where the frame becomes an integral part of the work itself.
