Manipulating the balances of contrast, tones and varying degrees of texturising as a way of reacting of the current story of our oceans, wounded and raw. Finding solace in the connection I feel with the sea and its unapologetic, inevitable response to the surrounding climate through lines and mark making.
There’s an undeniable intuitive, expressive flow within the work that I try to hold onto. My art is a place for me to go, a meditative place, the calm and comfort in the business of life.
