The Silence ( Of My Life ) 

The marks, smudges, lines in this painting make a kind of gestural vocabulary that appears and disappears, evoking a sense of the attempts we make at speaking to each other in true conversation. It appears random, but is carefully orchestrated into a piece that is strong and confident while also fragile and tender, as are our sometimes broken attempts to speak and live on the outside what already lives far inside us.
