Eamonn Higgins graduated in 2003 with BA Hons, he is now a full time professional artist. His inspiration has been the beauty of ͞Tenth Glen͟ where he grew up. He has now set up his own art studio as well as transforming his grandfather’s old milking parlour into blacksmithing school, Hot Milk Forge. While relying on traditional skills with his training in blacksmithing, he has a unique way of working using contemporary tools. His main works consist in steel; he pushes the medium beyond standard blacksmithing practice. His styles are within the natural landscape. Deconstruction and creation are widely shown within his work, showing the beauty of balance between contrasts. By observing destruction and creation within his work shows a beauty that is timeless.
